My Story

Like many women, my midlife transition became a turning point. It was a constant challenge of advocating for myself. Often feeling that the professionals I turned to had little understanding of menopause, either medically or compassionately. I grew tired of being told to “fix my diet” and “exercise more” and to simply accept this as the passage into midlife. I refuse to accept that this is just the way it is.

An experience of perimenopausal depression left me questioning everything. Even my profession. If I, a wellbeing specialist, was struggling to manage my own wellbeing, how could I support others? Shame crept in, and I withdrew. But through connection. The cornerstone of wellbeing, I began sharing my story and quickly discovered I wasn’t alone.

For many women, this stage of life arrives just as they’re at the peak of their careers, raising teens, or caring for aging parents. Symptoms can appear suddenly and impact confidence, focus, and mental health. It’s clear we need a better understanding of this stage. One that helps women navigate it with integrity, feeling supported and understood, especially in the workplace.

With an interest in positive ageing, I’m reimagining menopause as stepping into my wise years and becoming the CEO of my body. Informed, connected, experimenting and sharing what I learn along the way, my aim is to help others Reset and Thrive through this chapter of change.
